Ruth graduated from Aston University and qualified as an Optometrist in 1997. Since then she has worked in hospital and community practice in the East Midlands. Ruth is a clinical Advisor to NHS England and an Assessor for the College of Optometrists. She has 3 children and enjoys having a go at running the Nottingham Half Marathon (you will see her near the back!)
