We are always willing to go the extra mile. We treat colour blindness with chromogen soft contact lenses and co-manage diseases such as Glaucoma and Diabetes with local Ophthalmologists. Andrew Matheson, Director of Matheson Optometrists was the first optometrist in the UK to obtain the British College qualification in Ocular Therapeutics.
He holds many specialist qualifications and is registered with BUPA and other private health care providers, and accepts referrals from consultant eye surgeons such as James Kirwan and Andrew Luff. Specialising in Anterior Eye therapy, in particular treating dry eye, Meibomian Gland Dysfunction and Blepharitis, he first started in this field in the late 1980's and has fitted punctal implants for over 20 years.
