Osteoarthritis is basically progressive wear and tear of cartilage within the joint usually age related. One of the main signs of osteoarthritis is loss in range of motion along with stiffness and pain associated with activities which can in turn affect the patients gait (walks with a limp) muscle weakness is also associated.
